No question, human beings need to believe in something they cannot see, touch or feel, something huge compared to which they are less than insignificant ants. Be it hope, fear or just the perceptions of our own limitations, in the course of time this need has produced countless religions – that way too often eventually degraded into very mundane organizations used by their ruthless priests to enhance their power, shed blood and satisfy their greed. Nevertheless among the majority of true believers some exceptional artists found in it inspiration to express their deepest feelings in a way that time wouldn’t erase. Here they are.
